A sea-life worker who was caught on camera giving a dolphin a handjob was not doing anything illegal, according to Dutch prosecutors.

Animal rights campaigners reported the incident after footage was captured by an undercover reporter posing as an intern at the Dolphinarium in Hardeqijk in Holland.

The video shows the worker chilling by the pool and wearing a glove on his right hand as he wanks the dolphin off.

An animal rights charity complained that it constituted abuse but officials agreed the man was doing his bit as part of a “breeding programme”.

The sexual act with the dolphin is performed in the context of training the dolphin for the release of sperm as part of a breeding programme.

The act was conducted by a scientist in the context of scientific research that focuses on this breeding programme.

Keepers at the zoo also insisted that the act “de-stresses” the dolphins and also prevents them from having incestuous relations with each other.

So it appears there’s two sides to this argument. The people who think this guy tosses off dolphins for fun and the people who who say he’s conducting “research” (wink, wink) and tossing off dolphins is just part of his job. I don’t know that the answer really matters from this guy’s POV because at the end of the day the fact he’s in a position where people are questioning his motives for wanking off dolphins is bad enough. Does he do it for fun or for work? I think you’ve lost either way TBH.
