The initial reaction to Robbert Pattinson being announced as the new Batman wasn’t that great, but people should probably give him a chance – especially since all the other info leaking about the new Batman film sounds promising.

The latest news via Variety is that ‘Big Little Lies’ star Zoe Kravitz (daughter of the legendary Lenny Kravitz) has now signed on to play Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman – the antiheroine and sometime love interest of the Caped Crusader.
Zoe was chosen over Zazie Beetz (Joker), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver) and Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina).
No official filming date has been set, although insiders reckon it could start in late 2019 or early 2020. ‘The Batman’ is scheduled to hit cinemas in June 2021.
Good choice IMO – Zoe Kravitz is just naturally cool and obviously has the sex appeal going for her too. Believe it or not she’s the second black woman to play Catwoman – the first was Eartha Kitt in the 60s in the original ‘Batman’ TV show starring Adam West and Burt Ward.

P.S. Before Batman drops Robert Pattison is starring in ‘The Lighthouse’ with Willem Dafoe (out this week). It looks seriously good.
