Remember the first time you saw ‘Back To The Future II’ and the future looked so damn awesome?

Well, it’s been about 20 years since that movie first came out and many of the products that you saw in that future are now available. First it was hover boards, and now it looks like Nike have finally pulled their fingers out and released some of those awesome self lacing trainers.
Unfortunately though, there’s a catch:
Nike announced Tuesday the release of the 2016 Nike MAG, featuring power laces, made famous in ‘Back to the Future: Part II’. Only 89 pairs were made.
The shoes will be raffled off ($10 a ticket) until October 17th to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Anyone may enter the raffle. There is no limit on the amount of tickets that can be purchased. All proceeds go to the foundation.

FFS. All I want is a pair of those trainers, but there are only going to be 89 of them in the whole wide world and I can only get one by entering a goddamn raffle and my odds of winning are probably going to be less than one in a million. Goddamn it.
Still, I can’t really complain because Nike’s gesture of giving all the money from the raffle to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to try and find a cure for Parkinson’s is more than admirable and probably a better idea than just selling these badboys for obscene profit, so I can’t really turn my nose up at it. Fair play.
