MATCH #4: Diva’s Champion Beth Phoenix & Eve vs. Kelly & Maria Menounos
We all knew this one was gonna suck, didn’t we? Whenever the words ‘diva’ and ‘celebrity’ and ‘match’ are included in the same sentence we’re all pretty much expected a turd sandwich, and this one didn’t fail in producing a excrement-laden snack for us to devour begrudgingly. When are the WWE gonna learn that women’s wrestling is not hiring glamour models and strippers and having them awkwardly and painfully toss eachother around the squared circle? And having some chick from an entertainment news programme thrown into the mix does not a good Wrestlemania match make, just another excuse for us to grab another beer, check our emails or have a piss in the interim.
Actually, that doesn’t sound that bad when put that way. Beers must be gotten, emails must be checked, and pisses have to be taken after all. Thanks WWE for taking our needs and creature comforts to heart when planning your events. Maybe next time just play ‘Spanish Flea’ over the PA system and call it an intermission?
