The idea that we live in a computer simulation has been around for a very long time – even before The Matrix movies came out – but it’s an idea that seems to be gathering a lot of traction amongst the smartest people in the world.

This isn’t the first time we’ve discussed this concept here on Sick Chirpse, but the video below provides the perfect commentary of these visionaries explaining their reasoning why they now believe that the computer simulation theory is now true. It’s pretty creepy but once you’ve seen it, you’ll agree that they’re all talking a lot of sense:

I told you right? It might sound completely crazy but it makes a lot of sense and when you think about the people that are backing the idea, it becomes even more likely to be true. Obviously it seems unlikely that anybody will be able to prove this one way or the other, but even if it isn’t true Max’s advice to go out there and live life to the full so you don’t get switched off by your computer overlords seems like a pretty good way to live your life anyway. Go for it.
