A bar probably isn’t the best place to bring your baby to, but does it really warrant the sort of reaction that this mum received from a fellow patron in Austin, Texas, recently?

Personally, I think more context is needed. Is this a bar/restaurant sort of establishment or just a straight up bar? And what time of day is it? Nobody likes a crying baby, but if it’s the middle of the afternoon and this Karen is already in there getting bladdered, then she doesn’t really have the right to complain. Now, if it’s 9pm and this mum has brought her baby to the bar because she can’t find a babysitter, then it becomes a little harder to defend her.
Even if Karen is in the right though, she didn’t have to be so rude about it. OK, she’s quite obviously hammered in this video, but still. No need to keep berating this woman and making out that she’s a bad mum, especially after she’s already said that they’re just waiting on their check so they can leave.
The price she has to pay now is going viral all over the internet for being an annoying drunk Karen. Which, if she was sober, she would have seen coming a mile away. You live and you learn.
