Some real solid dudes working at the ElectTronex store in Uxbridge, west London; not only did they respond calmly and perfectly when that girl smashed up their shop at the weekend, they’ve also decided not to press charges against the lunatic teenager who destroyed all their stock because they wouldn’t give her a refund on a phone she bought 3 months ago.

Criminal damage + open racism = some kind of punishment incoming, right? Well, apparently not, because after police arrived, they let her go without charge, and without even arresting her.

However, detectives are now investigating the footage and will return to the shop to speak with staff, so she may not be in the clear yet.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:

‘Police were called at 1309hrs on Saturday, 8 June, to a shop in the Pavilions Shopping Centre in Uxbridge.

‘Officers attended and detained a 19-year-old woman who was said to have thrown items in the shop and been abusive towards staff.

‘The victim stated to the attending officers that he did not wish to provide a statement or make any criminal allegations. The woman was not arrested.

‘Officers are now aware of video subsequently published online, which includes racist comments and threats. This will be reviewed and officers will again speak with staff at the shop.’

So it looks like police weren’t aware of the young lady’s use of the P-word, and having seen the footage go viral, I guess they’ll now try and encourage the victim(s) to press charges or something? I don’t know. Perhaps going viral with a humiliating video of you having an aggressive, racist meltdown in a phone shop is punishment enough, especially as that video will remain online until the end of time. Could be that it’s just the kick in the bum this girl needs to sort herself out. Then again, a bit of community service wouldn’t go amiss either.

I guess we’ll leave it to the ever-capable police and the lovely staff at ElectTronex to figure out.
