I don’t think I’ve ever spent eight years of my life training to do anything, but I’m pretty sure if I did then I wouldn’t decide one day to just bun it off and do the exact opposite instead.

This is what Yudi Pineda from Ituango in north-west Colombia has done though and it’s even more outrageous because she spent eight years practicing to be a nun only to give it up to become a porn star instead. Quite the career change there hey? 

Yudi explains it like so:

I went to Uraba and I was at school when nuns came to visit us, and I knew then that I wanted to do that.

I joined the convent at the age of ten and spent the next eight years training.

I was very happy there but as I grew older I fell in love with my religious teacher so quit to work a job at Nestle.

It was there I met Juan Bustos who invited me to a casting call for adult web cam models. I went along to an audition and was hired on the spot and haven’t looked back.

At first I was feeling bad, but now I am fine with it.

I also feel good when I go to church. I never miss Friday prayers, Saturday meetings or Sunday mass.

My priest tried to persuade me out of the work but I ignored his advice.

I feel like my new job is artistic and beautiful and there is nothing bad about it.

I mean fair enough if that’s what she wants to do with her life, it’s just kinda crazy that someone would perform such an about turn. It’s also kinda weird that Yudi claims that she fell in love with her religious teacher and that’s why she stopped being a nun? Surely the person conducting the interview probably needs to pick up on that and delve a little deeper?

But yeah, I guess Yudi is eight years now so I’m excited to see what she decides to do when she turns 26. Maybe become a marine biologist or astronaut or something? You never know.
