If I was to write a list about things that you should never lie about, then rape would be pretty near the top of the list, if not in the number one spot. Despite my morals though, some people still think it’s OK to make stuff up about being raped in order to try and impress boys. Welcome to 2017 people.

The woman you can see pictured above you is 18-year-old Nikki Yovino, a student from New York. She said that two Sacred Heart University football players sexually assaulted her in a bathroom last October at a party, apparently to try and gain sympathy from a boy she liked.
The two men both admitted to having sex with her and claim that it was consensual. Jocks. Meanwhile Captain Brian Fitzgerald stated that police had investigated the claim and that another student had shared knowledge of explicit text messages between the three, and everyone at the party says she went into the bathroom willingly and there’s even some footage of it on a guy’s mobile phone.
So it’s not looking too good for Yovino and she’s now been charged with falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. The legal papers submitted regarding the incident state the following:
She admitted that she made up the allegation of sexual assault against (the football players) because it was the first thing that came to mind and she didn’t want to lose (another male student) as a friend and potential boyfriend.
She stated that she believed when (the other male student) heard the allegation it would make him angry and sympathetic to her.
If that’s true that’s absolutely gross, but I suppose that is how some young girl’s minds work in this day and age. Govino herself is sticking with her story and seeing it through to the end despite the mounting evidence, and faces five years in jail if she’s found guilty. What an absolute mess.
For more lying about rape, check out this girl who made up a story about it so she could get out of her A Level exam. Disgusting.
