A mother from San Diego, who posts her breastfeeding videos on YouTube, has been branded ‘incestuous’ by her critics.

Tasha Maile’s breastfeeding videos, which are watched by millions of people online, show herself breastfeeding her two sons – three-year-old Josiah and two-year-old Soul. Videos include one where she stops in the middle of a workout to feed the pair, writing, “us mothers do what we have to do.”

These clips continue to spark debate as many commenters have called them ‘disturbing’ and even ‘incestuous’ as they think she is going too far. One woman wrote:

I find this video very disturbing. She wants viewers to believe this is a natural mother and child bonding while breastfeeding.

However from the start this doesn’t appear to be natural but incestuous. Breastfeeding is a natural, beautiful extension of the mother and child bonding.

However, this woman’s exhibitionism certainly takes away from the wonderful bonding between other and child.

Despite the backlash she has received online, Tasha defends her actions by saying:

What other people say is 100 per cent to do with them and not with you.

I listen to them [critics] and don’t things too perfectly any more. I feel compassion for them.

What do you reckon? Obviously people are claiming that this woman is almost using her breastfeeding to show off to her viewers, but I’ve seen a couple of the clips and there’s nothing dodgy about it. It’s just what you’d expect from a mother feeding her children. I guess you could argue that they’re a little old now – hopefully she curbs it before it gets to the point where they should no longer be drinking breast milk.
