People filming themselves getting fired and sharing it on social media has been all the rage the last few years, but usually it’s because the employer/corporation has sacked them unjustly and they’re looking for some support and sympathy online.

That’s clearly what the young lady in this video was going for, except it doesn’t quite work out that way when your sacking was 100% deserved (from the sounds of it)…

“Y’all too grown for me” – indeed! 12 minutes late, 21 minutes late, 32 minutes late. I was actually hoping the late clock-ins would keep going just so we could see how far she would keep pushing the goalposts. “5 hours late? OK but I still made it though”.

Saying she didn’t turn up to work because it was her birthday (and didn’t even bother letting her employer know beforehand) is just outrageously funny. It’s like she genuinely thinks that no one turns up to work on their birthday and you don’t even have to give a heads-up either.

Every single comment I’ve seen online is siding with the employer too, which is quite a feat in 2024. Do you have any idea how far in the wrong you have to be as an employee to have the internet side with a corporation over you – a lowly worker on minimum wage?

Well anyway, best of luck to this lady on her job hunt. Maybe ask for August 12th off in advance next time.
