Is it appropriate to breastfeed a cat on a plane? Of course not. In fact some might say that it’s not appropriate to breastfeed a cat AT ALL. Well, according to Yahoo, that’s what one lady did aboard a Delta Airlines flight recently.
The woman and her cat were travelling to Atlanta from Syracuse, from which this ACARS (Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System) message went viral this week…
In case you can’t make that out, the message reads…
Req Redcoat meet AC Pax (passenger) in (seat) 13A is breastfeeding a cat and will not put cat back in its carrier when FA (flight attendant) requested.
Just absolutely insane behaviour on multiple levels. As we’ve established, breastfeeding a cat (on a plane or otherwise) is weird enough. But how does that even work with a cat’s teeth? Those things are sharp AF. Cats have evolved to have razor-sharp teeth with the capability of ripping flesh, which – last time I checked – nipples are made of. If you leave your nipples in a cat’s mouth for too long, whoa buddy, that’s just asking for trouble! Moreover, have you ever bottle-fed a kitten? Once they approach weaning age, they’re chewing those little rubber bottle nipples right off.
Apparently one of the flight attendants on the plane release a TikTok (since taken down) that provided some more detail as to what happened. I’ll let this person on Reddit explain…
Blimey, it just got weirder. Obviously this lady is a bit of a nut case and is probably one of these people who thinks her pet is literally her “baby”. In any case, I think that’s enough Internet for today.
But first! Meet the Purrminator – the West Midlands cat that survived three shootings in five months. Hardcore.
