French star Kylian Mbappe is now officially a Real Madrid player. The forward signed a deal with the Spanish giants on the 1st of July after his contract expired at Paris Saint-Germain. He will be unveiled in front of Real fans at Bernabeu after Euro 2024.

Mbappe opted to join the La Liga champions to help his development. He wants to play in one of the leading leagues in European football and have the best chance of lifting the Champions League trophy. Here is a look at whether the French player can win the Ballon d’Or crown while in Spain.

Euro 2024 the Focus First

Mbappe’s first opportunity to win a trophy at Real Madrid will come in the UEFA Super Cup where his side are 1/2 favourites in the football odds today to beat Atalanta. Before he focuses on the preparation for that game, his mind will be fully on Euro 2024.

France are 9/2 in the EURO 24 betting odds after reaching the quarter-final of the competition. Mbappe scored from the spot kick in a 1-1 draw with Poland in the group stages and he will be hoping he can deliver his side more goals in their pursuit of the trophy.

Mbappe took a nasty knock to the face in France’s opening game of Euro 2024 which fractured his nose. He will now play with a protective mask for the rest of the tournament and possibly in the early stages of the 2024/25 domestic campaign.

Mbappe Can Make Real Even Stronger

Real Madrid had an excellent season last year, winning the La Liga and Champions League double. Mbappe arrives at a great time as he will be joining a successful team that has quality across the pitch.

The player will add another dimension to Real Madrid’s attack with speed and dribbling. He can play as a forward through the middle of the pitch or on either side of the wing, depending on where Carlo Ancelotti sees him as being the most effective.

Mbappe scored 44 goals in all competitions last season. He should continue his impressive goalscoring record in Spain which will help his case for being named the Ballon d’Or winner in either 2024 or 2025.

Ancelotti The Perfect Manager To Improve Frenchman

Next season Mbappe will get the opportunity to work with one of the most successful managers of his generation, Ancelotti. The Italian has won league titles in Italy, England, France, Germany and Spain. He has also lifted the Champions League on five occasions.

Ancelotti has worked with some of the best strikers in the sport including Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Andriy Shevchenko, and Filippo Inzaghi. He will do all he can next season to get the best out of Mbappe in his team.

Real Madrid’s first game of the 2024/25 La Liga season takes place on the 18th of August when they travel to Mallorca. Mbappe will need to wait until the 27th of October for his first El Clasico as a Real player.
