The Korean war started in 1950, it’s not a war that is mentioned that much, sandwiched between the second world war and the Vietnam war (or the American war as it’s called by the Vietnamese). Some call it the ‘forgotten’ or ‘unknown war’. USA backed the south and sent thousands of troops, Russia and China backed the north and sent thousands in too. There was mass slaughter, war crimes and atrocities carried out by all involved.
Some North Korean troops would dress as peasants and ask US troops for food, as the troops got closer the faux-peasants would open fire on them. Because of this North Korean tactic, the US troops adopted a shoot first, ask questions later, policy. This, of course, meant that a lot of innocent, poor, starving people were mowed down.

During air raids, the Americans completely leveled North Korea, and when I say completely, I mean they turned virtually every town to rubble. Nailed it. Annihilation. Young, old, sick, innocent, everyone got smashed. That’s what war is all about. But I guess if someone had done that to my country, whether I understood why or not, I would definitely hate them. Forever. South Korea didn’t have it much better either. The whole country was completely ruined from the bottom up.
