They Never Have to “Act Cool”

To be fair, I gave up trying to look and act cool a very long time ago. It was around about the time I realised I just wasn’t cool at all. So I gave up.
Having said that, a lot of people’s time, money and thoughts go into looking cool, and that’s a proper waste of resources in the global scheme of things. Who gives a shit if you look cool? Only people who think it’s important to look cool, and they’re wankers. But still, because you don’t want to be shunned by society, and you want to get laid, you have to toe the line and give a shit.
Fuck that.
If a dog is excited, you can tell. It doesn’t feel the need to act cool. I mean, if it wanted to, it could, but they don’t want to. If that guy is pleased to see you, he will show it.
He will rub his balls on you. That way you really know he cares. If he’s looking forward to dinner, he will drool over every single thing. If you’re out and he misses you, he will destroy all of the soft furnishing.
This undying affection and constant love is not always rewarded, but he doesn’t give a shit about that either.
