Tacoma Bridge Collapse (1940)

This is literally one of the most nuts things I’ve ever seen. The Tacoma Bridge was built in Washington in 1940 and at the time was the world’s third largest suspension bridge. Unfortunately though, they completely screwed it up and in this video the bridge is literally shaking up and down and bending all over the place – kind of like it’s in an earthquake – before it eventually collapses. Completely crazy footage, seriously.
In case you’re wondering, nobody was killed during the collapse except for one dog which one owner left in a car that was stalled on the bridge.
