Buried Alive Stunt Goes Wrong (1949)

Here’s some weird escapologist called Alan Alan who decided to celebrate the anniversary of the death of Houdini by burying himself alive naked in a grave and then escaping. However, something goes wrong with the trick and it’s pretty tense as the guys hanging around try to dig him out – first with their shovels and then their hands as they get closer to him.

Kinda shocking to see this kind of real life snuff movies on TV back then to be honest. I’m not really sure how Alan Alan was planning on getting out of a grave back then, but instead of ‘The World’s Greatest Escape’ that he promised us, he’s going to be remembered forever as one of the world’s biggest idiots. Unlucky.
