2. Talking Donkey
Numbers 22:28-30
Balaam is spanking his donkey when he suddenly hears the donkey’s voice asking why he is spanking him.
“Because thou hast mocked me,” replies Balaam.
The donkey then explains the dynamics of their relationship and how it is in fact Balaam that has been mocking the donkey and hurting its feelings.
They then become friends.
1.How To Breed Striped Cattle
Genesis 30:37-39
Laban steals all of Jacob’s striped and spotted cattle, leaving Jacob with only plain old boring cattle.
Jacob isn’t happy about this and so puts together a plan where he will paint stripes onto some sticks, plant them next to his cattle, and then the cattle will give birth to striped babies if they are staring at the sticks while mating.
I know, that makes no sense whatsoever. But guess what? It actually worked!
The cattle gave birth to striped young and Jacob was happy again. There’s no point or moral or anything at all to this story — it’s just in the Bible.
So, all things considered, we’re definitely in agreement with this dude when it comes to these wacky Bible adventures.
