7) Calleta Silkmoth Caterpillar
He’s like an evil rainbow. His beautiful colours vary as he grows and his colour scheme basically tells predators to ‘come and have a go if they think they’re hard enough’. Most predators turn down the challenge, he’s more than a mouthful with all of his barbed spikes.
Unfortunately he ends up quite drab as an adult:
They feed mostly on the Mexican jumping bean (yes they’re a real thing), and are found throughout Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.
