I thin it’s fair to say that nobody really likes a referee and even though the ones in this country get berated and abused all the time, it’s nothing like on the scale of the clip below – and to make matters even worse it’s actually a women’s team beating the crxp out of a male referee this time as well.

The clip comes from over in the Congo where DC Motema Pemb were playing TP Mazembe Women and getting absolutely battered 5-1. The referee then refused to award them what they deemed to be a clear cut penalty and this then led to the entire team chasing the poor guy from the pitch and flooding him with punches and kicks, before he tried to hide in some kind of dugout.

The women then seem to punch and kick him again (you can’t really see because of the camera angle) before the ref manages to get away once more, running down the tunnel. The team follow him and who knows what happened after the video cut filming:

Yeowch. Genuinely completely mad how crazy all these women have managed to get over the fact that the ref hasn’t awarded them a penalty. Kinda seems like there’s some kind of mental compulsion or zombie disease affecting them or something.

Anyway, I hope their team gets relegated or handed a massive fine because however funny it is for us to watch that at home you can’t have the officials getting treated like that in any kind of organised sport. Completely unacceptable. And this was the women’s game! Imagine what the male version DC Motema Pembe must be like.
