Banksters
Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Bank of America and other huge U.S. financial institutions blocked donations to WikiLeaks in 2010.

We all know the banks can’t be trusted. They were scared to shit about WikiLeaks dropping them in it. Apparently WikiLeaks violated their “terms and conditions” and therefore their funding was blocked. Ts and Cs don’t stop them authorising funding from other groups, like the Ku Klux Clan, as journalist James Ball adroitly points out in the film.
Proficient Whistleblower
Bradley Manning joined the U.S. Military to secure funding for a university course — he wasn’t typical army material, but was a talented intelligence analyst.
Whilst posted in Iraq he suffered from gender dysphoria sadly getting bullied by fellow soliders. Manning is said to have leaked the largest set of classified documents ever — 750,000 is the estimated figure. He smuggled them out on blank CDs before releasing them to the world. Sophisticated.
Thing is, he’s now in SERIOUS shit… ‘We Steal Secrets’ suggests Manning has been tortured in Marine Corps Brig, Virginia. Hero or villain, it’s up to you to decide.
Tenacity
Julian Assange is still in the Ecuadorian embassy. It’s been over a year now. He runs four miles each day on his treadmill… that’s over 30 marathons thus far.

Whatever your stance is on the topic ‘We Steal Secrets’ deals with one of the most important things to ever happen on the internet and you just can’t help but be intrigued.
