The debate between meat eaters and vegans is probably never going to be resolved and I certainly don’t see Piers Morgan ever backing down from his thoughts on the subject, as he regularly does really childish stuff like eat a steak in front of vegan activists to get them all wound up.

For some reason Morgan was appearing on Sky News Australia alongside Animal Rebellion spokesperson Nathan McGovern and celebrity chef Aldo Zilli for a debate about the recent demonstrations made by McGovern’s organisation in recent weeks, such as pouring milk on supermarket floors and running into Salt Bae’s London restaurant and shouting. Obviously Morgan didn’t really let them get a word in edgeways and then decided to eat a steak in front of them to try and make some kind of point that I can’t really understand.

I think you all look pretty pasty faced and unhealthy to me.

What I don’t do is I don’t go running into vegan restaurants and start screaming abuse at you all and have to be pulled out by people because you’re ruining everyone’s fun.

I like eating meat.

None of you make me want to change my mind.

I just think you’re annoying little squits honestly, I do.

Here’s my point.

I love eating steak. I’m not going to stop eating steak.

And the very last thing on earth that will stop eating steak is people like you with your pasty faces running into our restaurants and telling us to stop eating steak.

If you want to win an argument, you just can’t be annoying all the time.

Hmm. I’m not sure if that last point can really stand coming from Morgan because that’s literally how he wins every argument – by being really annoying and not letting the other side speak and talking over them all the time – but I can see what he’s saying in regards to Animal Rebellion’s various protests. I think at this point most people have made up their minds about veganism and I don’t think that anyone has ever thought that they’ll stop eating meat after someone runs into the steakhouse they’re eating at and shouts at them. Probably more likely to make them keep eating meat as a protest.

I think these guys need to get some better ideas about promoting the vegan lifestyle because old white dudes like Morgan are never going to listen to them acting like this. Think about it.
