I think that owning your own personal yacht has to be one of the biggest indicators of opulence out there, so I kinda like the fact that someone decided to steal one of them and then ram it into a bunch of other stationary yachts and totally fuck them up.

The video comes from over in Newport Beach, California – I think that was where ‘The O.C.’ was set to give you some context as to how everyone living there is a probably a rich asshole – and shows the guy gleefully smashing the 60 foot yacht into other yachts and completely and utterly screwing them up, causing damage that is estimated to be in the millions. The guy was arrested as soon as authorities arrived at the scene, but his motivations are currently unknown.
He’s being charged with ‘suspicion of grand theft of a boat and possession of a stolen boat’ (lol) and currently being held on a 3 million dollar bail. There are a bunch of videos of him smashing up a bunch of shit, but here are the best ones we could find:

Absolute carnage. If you’re wondering how the guy managed to steal the yacht, then it’s quite simple really: the keys were already in the ignition as the boat was hanging out in the harbour for some routine maintenance.
That kind of implies that the guy committed the crimes on a whim, that he just saw the keys in the ignition and thought ‘I know, let’s steal this boat and smash up ever other boat in the marina!’ What could possibly go wrong?’. You sort of have to admire that unbridled commitment to mayhem – especially as it’s going to piss off a load of rich people too.
