I think everyone has that one friend who can solve a Rubik’s cube but they’re almost exclusively completely weird, so imagine how strange they would have to be to solve three of the bastards whilst juggling them and then do that in under four and half minutes.

Well, if you take a look at this 19 year old guy Angel Alvarado then you’ll get some idea of how strange you would have to be. Alvarado set the world record at 4: 52 last year, so then obviously just spent all of the time since then practicing so he could come back in and smash it by twenty seconds this year.
Take a look at the video below and marvel at his unreal mental processing to be able to do all that:
This is wild — Angel Alvarado (19 years old) set a world record by solving 3 Rubik’s cubes in just 4 minutes and 31 seconds…while juggling.
The previous record was 4 minutes and 52 seconds, which Alvarado set a year prior.

Wow. I get that it’s kind of boring watching that but it’s also strangely hypnotic seeing the cubes slowly all match up to the same colours on each side. I reckon it might be kind of cool if a DJ put those up as his visuals whilst he was doing a set and everyone was monging out to the beat?
Anyway, even though I’m kinda ripping on Alvarado for being a lil weirdo, you can’t really deny that it’s massively impressive that he can even do that task at all, let alone in four minutes. Most of the population of the world can’t even juggle or solve a Rubik’s cube, let alone juggle three of the bastards and solve them at the same time. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
