Robbery and violence in broad daylight is sadly pretty prevalent in this country these days and this has been illustrated yet again with some pretty horrible footage from London’s Bishopsgate area from yesterday morning.

In the clip below, you can see two men on electric bikes trying to rob a commuter’s phone, before other bystanders jump in and a massive brawl erupts. You also see what looks like a knife being handed to one of the attackers before he’s pulled to the ground by another passerby.

Three people ended up getting stabbed. Pretty grim footage, but take a look below and see what you think:

Geez that’s pretty terrifying isn’t it? Especially when it’s happening at 9:45 am in the morning when you’re just walking to your job. Mental.

36 year old cyclist Toby Hammond said the following about the incident:

He held it in his fist and sort of raised his hand up to sort of show me and I immediately was like, ‘Okay, not going anywhere near this”.

At the same time, you know, it makes me feel good that people got involved. Like bystanders didn’t just let it happen.

Yeah you gotta rate them for having a go haven’t you? Sadly, the two criminals in question got away and thankfully the three people who were stabbed don’t have life threatening injuries. Absolutely awful state of affairs though.
