Yesterday we brought you the story of Susanne Hinte, who claimed that she had put the winning £33million lottery ticket in the wash with her jeans, which had caused her to partially destroy it.
Although the numbers were visible, the time and date of purchase and barcode weren’t which was obviously a big factor as to whether or not it was the legit winning ticket or not. In an attempt to try and figure it out, she sent it into Camelot to try and get it verified.
Unfortunately for Susanne, Camelot are having none of it:
They’re not even reviewing the security camera footage at Ambleside News in Warndon, Worcester where she bought the ticket.
If Miss Hinte was even suspected of winning the lottery the first thing Camelot would have done is grab that CCTV footage.
The footage is proof of where she bought the ticket and at what time.

Only five people know the location and purchase time of the winning ticket apparently, and it looks like it wasn’t in Warndon. Sounds like Susanne has been telling porkys huh?
Miss Hinte hasn’t said anything about it yet, but her 28 year old daughter Natasha Douglas appeared outside her house last night to defend her:
She has never said “I’ve won the lottery”, she’s said she has the winning numbers and I’ve seen them.
She’s already had begging letters from people asking for money. She works and has worked all her life but I’m not saying what she does.
Hold the front page – I’m probably more interested in what Hinte’s mystery job is now rather than the fact she might have tried to falsely claim £33million. What could it possibly be that it’s so bad that her daughter won’t divulge it? I suppose we’re all thinking the same thing but hopefully someone can verify it as quickly as Camelot verified it wasn’t the winning ticket.
In the meantime, maybe Hinte can be happy she’ll never be included in this list of people that won the lottery and pissed it all away.
UPDATE: Camelot officially received a “valid claim” for the £33m jackpot today and the winner is remaining anonymous. Gutted Susanne.
