If there’s one item of food that’s popularity seems to have increased over the years rather than plateaued or levelled out than I think it’s the sausage roll, especially after the advent of the vegan version last year meant that the delicacy was even more accessible for the entirety of society.

With that in mind, it’s not really that much of a surprise that Walkers have decided to release a sausage roll flavour crisp, especially when dumb flavours like tomato ketchup and roast chicken and sage have been around for years. The crisps are released in conjunction with LadBaby – you know the idiot who has had the last two Christmas number ones by singing about sausage rolls – and this means that 5p from very sale will go towards The Trussell Trust who support food banks in the UK, so even if you’re wary of what they might taste like you may as well pick a pack up and see what it’s all about.
Here’s what Philippa Pennington, the marketing manager at Walkers, said about the new flavour:
We’re excited to be adding one of the nation’s most loved flavours – sausage rolls – to our offering this festive season, and supporting the amazing work of the Trussell Trust in the process.
With huge demand for food banks this year, we want everyone to get behind LadBaby and help to raise even more money at Christmas for the Trussell Trust.
There’s never been a more important time.
Yeah, you’re selling me. The crisps are priced at 69p for a 32.6g single pack, £1 for a multipack of five 25g packs, or a £1 for a 65g sharing pack, but the bad news is that they’re limited edition and will only be around as long as stocks last which is estimated to be around Christmas time. Better get going if you wanna have a few of them – they’re out from Monday.
