Here at Sick Chirpse, we love anything weird, disgusting or disturbing. It’s what we do. Which is why when I was reminded of the movie ‘Visitor Q’ (I had previously buried that memory within the depths of my subconscious) I thought it would be something interesting to bring to the readers who haven’t seen it.

Let’s start with the director. Takashi Miike – if you haven’t heard of this guy then you should go and watch his other movies. A few of my favourites include ‘Ichi the Killer’, ‘Audition’ and ’13 Assassins’. All absolute triumphs in their own right.
While Miike touches upon life’s more disturbing topics (kidnap, murder, death and torture) nothing will prepare you for his controversial cult classic ‘Visitor Q’. I’ve seen some fucked up shit in my time, so I can say with a backed up opinion that this is the single most messed up and controversial movie that I have ever seen.
The synopsis from IMDB states:
A troubled and perverted family find their lives intruded by a mysterious stranger who seems to help find a balance in their disturbing natures.
This isn’t your usual ‘Human Centipede’ style extreme. Miike’s narrative is far more sinister and surreal. The opening scene alone shows a father having sex with his fledgling prostitute daughter. The closing scene shows that same dad and daughter drinking from the lactating breasts of their wife and mother. Not one dark stone is left unturned, as Miike touches upon lactating porn, necrophilia, paedophilia, and there’s even a “comical” scene showing the father getting his penis stuck in a dead woman’s body.
It’s difficult to even categorise this movie in any sort of genre. It’s not a drama, it’s not a comedy and it’s not a horror. If ‘perversion’ was a movie category, I would say that ‘Visitor Q’ would sit on its shelf.
So if you’re at a loose end and you share an interest in all things bizarre, or you’re pissed off with your family and you want to freak them out, then you can watch the whole thing below. You’re welcome.
