The Viral ‘Hawk Tuah’ Girl Has Been Identified

Unless you’ve been living under a rock/avoided the internet completely in the last week, you’ve probably heard of the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl. She gave an unbelievable answer to a question during an interview in the streets of Nashville which promptly went viral and turned her into the #1 internet sensation of the moment.

In the clip, the “Hawk Tuah” girl, who has since been identified as Nashville native Hailey Welch, is asked, “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time? That you do.” Before the interviewer can even finish, she fires back with: “Oh, you’ve got to give him that hawk tuah and spit on that thang, you get me?”

Probably not the sort of thing you want to go viral for and have you follow around for the rest of your life, but it seems for now that Hailey Welch is taking full advantage of her viral fame by hooking up with the clothing brand Fathead Threads to start selling merchandise. And why not eh? That’s internet fame 101!

The clip has spawned countless memes in the last week and you’ve even got American athletes doing a “Hawk Tuah” on the field, as evidenced by Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies below:

What else can you say really? Fair play to Hailey Welch for striking while the iron’s hot and riding the wave of this whole thing while it lasts. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Tiffany Gomas AKA the Crazy Plane Lady, it’s that going viral in 2024 doesn’t necessarily mean you need to end up on OnlyFans to keep making $$$, although I’m sure it’s good to know that’s always an option.
