A woman has claimed to have caught Banksy on camera working on an exhibition in Israel.

The elusive street artist recently opened an interactive exhibition Hotel in Bethlehem, but days before the woman reckons she managed to film him at an art show called ‘The Art of Banksy’ in a shopping mall.

The exhibition is due to open in the Arena mall in Herzliya Marina. The woman said:

The mall opens at 10am but if you need to be there earlier you have to sign your name.

What was really weird was that when I came in and I had to sign my name, I noticed an English name and said to the security guard ‘who is that?’

He said it was an artist from England.

The guy in the video is maybe around 40, the door was open and the smell of spray paint was really strong. He’s not Israeli for sure.

I’m not what you’d call a huge fan, but I was saying to myself ‘oh my god, it’s him. I think it’s Banksy.’

As with all of these videos, it’s hard to tell. And as many people have theorised before, it’s likely that Banksy is more than one person and is in fact made up of a group of street artists due to the high volume of work that comes out under the name. Whether this is one of those artists is yet to be seen. I can’t imagine Banksy rocking a pair of camouflage combats and a shitty trilby though, can you?
