In October 1961 the Ruskis delivered the Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear device to be detonated of all time – 50 Megatons. 50 megatons doesn’t mean all that much until you learn from Wikipedia like I just did, that the total energy of all explosives used in WWII (including Hiroshima and Nagasaki) is estimated to have been 3 megatons.
