A recent incident over in Melbourne, Australia, saw crates of live chickens which had flown off the back of a moving truck and, coincidentally, right onto the doorstep of a KFC restaurant.

But if that wasn’t weird timing enough, there also happened to be a vegan woman named Jessica Carter passing by, who took the following footage and provided added commentary on how sad the whole thing was.

As you will see, she mentions how dead birds were being crammed with live ones into the cages, while less empathetic passersby joked that any of those that survived would most likely end up in KFC anyway. What a bunch of jokers.

Carter has since said that the location of the incident is “poignant” and she initially thought it was some sort of stunt. To be fair it does all seem like a bit of a farce – talk about your bad timing.

Imagine how upset this woman would be if she found out some chef had been secretly feeding her meat? Devastated.
