From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Seth Gecko
The Gecko Brothers (Clooney and Tarantino) are cool, calm collected bank robbers with a serious attitude…or at least one of them is. When a swift liquor store robbery takes a turn for the worse Seth Gecko (Clooney) attempts to diffuse the situation by simply stating, “Everybody be cool. You – Be cool.” to the scared-shitless sales assistant – before Richard Gecko (Tarantino) puts a bullet straight through the back of the local sheriff’s head. This is the first time we meet the brothers who are on the run to Mexico to find their safe house/stripper mansion, “The Titty Twister.” On the way the brothers pick up several different hostages including a Preacher who has lost his faith (Harvey Keitel) and his two children. Richard manages to show every possible sign of a demented pervert as he rapes and tortures a hostage while Seth nips out to get a couple of Kahuna burgers. This is followed by Richie getting all worked up and into a weird daze in which he imagines Juliette Lewis asking him to eat her pussy (daily occurrence for most of us).
The film soon spirals out of control and what was a seemingly quirky guys-on-the-lam tale soon becomes more sheep amidst the wolves as the heroes realise they have just found themselves in a strip club that sits on top of an Aztec ruin heavily populated with the undead.
The reason we find out that Seth Gecko is up there with the best vampire hunters ever seen can be blamed on the ever insatiable Salma Hayek who plays Satánico Pandemónium. During her oscar-worthy strip tease a fight breaks out and all the blood gives the vampire strippers clit boners and all hell breaks loose. Then what seems to be an open audition for vampire slayers of the future sees the patrons of the Titty Twister battle it out with only the toughest of them surviving. Slayers left to fight the good fight are Seth, Jacob (Keitel), Kate (Lewis), Scott (Keitel’s son), a biker named Sex Machine (Tom Savini) and a Vietnam veteran trucker named Frost (Fred Williamson). They quickly establish an alliance in order to survive through the night. Seth convinces the group that Jacob is their best weapon as he is indeed a man of faith but of course he is currently working through some issues with God so struggles with this.
Gecko leads a merry battle against the undead but bottles fvcking Juliette Lewis right at the end which is ever so slightly devastating. As a result of this we might have to remove his invitation into the hall of fame and extend an offer to the real hero of the movie and Arthur Fonzarelli wanabee, Sex Machine.
