No one is expecting the USA to do particularly well at this year’s World Cup, but they might be especially f*cked if these leaked USMNT kits turn out to be the real thing…
Nike’s World Cup number and letter font not yet finalized, but this is the final design for the USMNT away kit in Qatar. pic.twitter.com/0od8PR7Bd3

I’m not sure how Nike could cock up the classic American red, white and blue scheme so badly, unless they’re intentionally trying to troll the Americans. Naturally, fans are not best pleased…
Please tell me you’re joking bro

Horrendous.
Wish Nike was as good as Adidas.

Red white and blue. How hard is it to incorporate 3 colors

Not a bad design for boy’s pajamas

Lol – it really does seem like Nike but no effort into these at all. Especially when you consider the previous USMNT kits have actually looked pretty cool:
Some Yanks were hoping these kit leaks were fake news put out there to wind them all up, but according to US footie journalist Michele Giannone, they’re the real deal:
My understanding, yes.

I almost feel bad for the Americans tbh. The least Nike could do was give them Stars and Stripes to really get their patriotic juices flowing. Or maybe that’s what they’re trying to avoid over in Qatar? Well, either way, surely they could do better than what they actually came up with. As it stands though, they’ll be heading to the Middle East in light blue pyjamas. Not a great start.
