Unbelievable moment this week as US representative Marjorie Taylor Greene told a British reporter to ‘go back to your own country’ after she was quizzed about the Signal group chat in which journalist Jeffrey Goldberg was accidentally added by Trump’s security adviser Mike Waltz, leaving him privy to top level discussions about US military activity.
Sky News correspondent Martha Kelner posed the question to MTG, who then went into a full meltdown over it:

“What country are you from?”
“We don’t give a crap about your opinion and your reporting. Why don’t you go back to your country, where you have a major migrant problem?
“You should care about your own borders.”
Jeez, so much for the ‘special relationship’ between the US and UK! Just such an utterly embarrassing response and reaction to a completely reasonable question about a relevant topic. Marjorie Taylor Greene was absolutely fuming!
Credit to Kelner, she proceeded to ask the congresswoman whether she ‘cared about American lives being put at risk’ due to the humiliating Signal group chat blunder. To which MGT deflected one more:
“Let me tell you something – do you care about people from your country? What about all the women that are raped by migrants?
“You’re done. I don’t care about your fake news.”
Fair play to the other American journalist in attendance who tried to prompt MGT to answer the question, but she still wouldn’t budge, saying instead:
“I’m not answering her question because I don’t care about her network. If you would like to ask, I can answer.”
The journalist then basically reiterated Kelner’s question, and Greene still dodged it! Incredible. Although in fairness, it’s always going to be difficult to reason with someone who believes in ‘God-given American gun rights.’ Maybe Greene could go back to the country where her own ancestors came from? Wherever that is.
Meanwhile, the Americans have also confirmed that the 2026 World Cup final will feature a half-time show just like the Super Bowl. Why do they always have to ruin everything?
