It must be really tough sitting in a court room and being expected to behave yourself as the person who (allegedly) murdered your niece is standing right there in front of you, still breathing oxygen after (allegedly) taking your loved one away from you.

For this uncle in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the opportunity to get his hands on suspected killer Alexander Ortiz was one he couldn’t pass up:

After the incident, Carlos Lucero told deputies that Ortiz ‘killed my niece like a coward’ and that attacking him ‘was worth every moment’, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. He now faces charges of assault and battery on a peace officer (unfortunately he must’ve got a stray shot or two trying to break it all up).

The suspect’s dad also got involved in the scuffle, along with Carlos’s buddy abd two other women, as it devolved into a bit of a royal rumble.

The suspect, Alexander Ortiz, was charged in January 2024 with shooting dead his ex-girlfriend, Alianna Farfan, 20, in her bedroom last year. Alianna was shot in the face trying to open a door and Ortiz allegedly jumped out of a window and fled. Ortiz is also charged with killing another woman a week later.

Obviously it’s never good news when a court room descends into chaos like this, but there is some satisfaction in the idea that the victim’s uncle managed to get a few good licks in before it was broken up. According to him, it was ‘worth every moment’ and hopefully worth the trouble he’s dealing with now as a consequence.

Thankfully, whatever punishment he’s given won’t be anywhere near as bad as the life sentence that his niece’s killer will be served when he is ultimately sentenced. Enjoy your time behind bars, you sick b@stard.
