Everyone is understandably shook up about the Westminster terror attack on Wednesday (assuming it was a terror attack), but something way more dangerous has been going on in Ukraine and has probably received a fraction of the coverage.

The incident happened in the town of Balakliya, near Kharkiv and involved a bunch of Russian separatist rebels – who are engaged in fighting roughly 60 miles away – sneaking into it and blowing the place up. The depot literally holds thousands of tonnes of ammunition including missiles and artillery weapons and so blowing the place up has caused these missiles to fly all over the place like a giant deadly fireworks display. It’s fucking crazy.

Jesus that really, really is not good is it? Everyone within 10km of the factory is in danger and 20,000 people have been evacuated to try and keep the population safe. There haven’t been any reports of civilian casualties yet, but Ukrainian media are allegedly downplaying the incident so nobody really knows what is going on over there. Classic dirty Soviet tactics.
What an absolute mess – how could something like this have been allowed to happen? Let’s hope everyone stays safe over there and people’s live haven’t been completely ruined by this disaster. Kinda puts things into perspective.
