You’ve probably heard of UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones as he’s regarded by pretty much everyone as the best fighter in the world right now.
That is everyone except for his brother Chandler Jones, who just so happens to be an NFL superstar too – one that’s just won the Superbowl with the New England Patriots. He argues that he used to beat Jon up all the time when they were growing up, and he’s 100% confident that if they stepped into the octagon together then he would emerge victorious.
In fact, he’s keen to set up the fight ASAP for charity – although he thinks his coach might have a problem with it:
Me and my brother used to fight all the time when we were young … and I’m pretty sure I can take him down now. I am way bigger than he is.
It will be fun if we actually did a one-round match for charity … that would be fun. If I win, he would have to donate to the charity of my choice and vice versa.
It wouldn’t be that hard to beat him – I would just throw him to the ground.
I don’t know how my coach would feel about it though. I don’t think it would fly.
It sounds like these two still have some unresolved issues from their childhood to sort out, and what better place than the octagon to do that. It also sounds like Chandler doesn’t really have a clue what Jon does or any respect for him if he thinks he can just get in there and ‘throw him to the ground’, so let’s hope this actually happens so we can see Jon Jones beat his ass, just like he beat Daniel Cornier’s ass in a casino brawl before their actual fight.
