Another day, another fucked up story about an Uber experience.

Daniel Kaizen hopped into the back of an Uber after a wild night out drinking and he was so wasted that he was soon fast asleep.
His Uber driver, the caring and honest character that he is, decided to capitalise on this by taking a massive detour. The journey from Old Street, in East London, over to Clapton (a grand total of 4 miles) that should have cost £15, actually came out to £102.17.

Instead of taking the obvious and direct route through North London, the driver took a little shortcut East and round the North Circular before finally heading across to the actual destination. Luckily, Daniel found the whole thing hilarious:
I went to rate the driver because he was a nice guy and I nearly spat out my tea laughing at the route.
He shared a screenshot of the route on Facebook, along with the caption:
Well, I was drunk, but DAAAAAAAMN UBER £105, for a £15 journey.
Uber have since responded to Daniel’s post and promised a full refund. A spokesman said:
We are investigating exactly what happened in this instance and have given the rider a full refund.
Unlike other transport options Uber offers transparent receipts with a record of every trip and a map of the route taken so if there is an issue it can be resolved.
