19-year-old Katie and 17-year-old Arin share a unique bond – they’re both transgender (Katie is male-to-female, Arin is female-to-male). The couple met at a transgender equality group meeting in their native Oklahoma and have been together since.

Both have undergone hormone therapy but only Katie has had the full gender reassignment surgery.
