I don’t think I’ve ever been a big fan of reality television shows/competitions like ‘The Bachelorette’ but someone posted the trailer for the latest series on their Twitter account and whilst I wouldn’t say that it has me hooked, it’s definitely got me very, very intrigued as to what the hell is going on in it this year.

Wow. OK, so obviously I’m not going to waste my time watching this show – I don’t even know if you can watch ‘The Bachelorette’ that easily in this country anyway –  but damn if that doesn’t look like a complete and utter shitshow. From what I can tell, it seems as if ‘The Bachelorette’ herself Claire Crawley totally fell in love with contestant Dale Moss and then at some point during the show it looks like they slept together and she refused to continue with the format as she was actually in love with him, sending the whole process into absolute chaos and causing everyone involved to shout a lot and go absolutely mental?

Reality TV thrives on car crash television so it’s kind of surprising that nothing like this has happened before on the show – maybe it has and I’m just not aware – but a quick Google does show that Crawley is replaced halfway through the season by another Bachelorette. Even if my theory isn’t correct, I”m sure that whatever led up to that was an complete and utter mess and is probably worth watching for a couple of hours on a hungover Sunday. You can thank me later.
