The western is one of the greatest of all movie genres and it goes without saying that every time a new movie depicting life in the old west comes out we all get a little bit excited – and when it’s coming from filmmakers as talented as The Coen Brothers then you know it’s going to be something special.

The Coen Brothers have already made a couple of completely sick westerns – yeah I’m counting No Country For Old Men as a western because it IS a western – so I’m fairly sure that they know what they’re doing with ‘The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs’. It’s been described as a six part anthology movie discussing different aspects of the old west and it’s going to premiere on Netflix on the 16th of November and you can check out the trailer to it below:
Ok so that doesn’t really tell you much about what it’s about at all – other than James Franco is constantly getting his head put in a noose – but it gives you enough about the style and eccentricity of it all to make you think that it’s going to be good. And I mean really, it’s the Coen Brothers – is it really not going to be completely sick? No, the answer is no. Just a shame we’ve gotta wait a couple of months for it.
