1) Woman Microwaves Cat
This story is like one of those ridiculous rumours you’d hear at school about the over weight weird kid that hid mice in his trousers and ate beetles. But it’s much, much worse because it actually happened. Laura Cunliffe (23) from Hoyland, punished her four-month-old kitten for attacking her goldfish by microwaving it for five minutes. Yup, she microwaved her cat. The cat survived its rotating ordeal but died 90 minutes later from internal injuries. She cooked her cat to death.
She’s gone to court of course, although I’m not sure how anyone found out she had done it. “The kitten was in a distressed state when Miss Cunliffe took it out of the oven,” said Brian Orsborn, prosecuting for The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). Cunliffe said “(It) could not get its breath and died about 90 minutes later”.
She’ll be sentenced next month. Hopefully she’ll get the chair. I told you it was hideous didn’t I?
