Some people say the journey is the best part of a holiday. I’ve never really seen the logic in that. But then again I’m such a cheapskate that I regard EasyJet and Ryanair as the height of excess. I normally just scrape together enough shrapnel to get me on a 15-hour coach to Amsterdam. But imagine for a moment that you are not a complete waster of a stoner. Imagine being aboard the biggest and best, most indestructible boat in the history of big indestructible boats for its maiden voyage. Now add an iceberg and a slow death freezing in the north Atlantic. Throw in a pinch of Leonardo DiCaprio being all worldly and seductive (back when he was a whiney-Hollywood-prettyboy-shitbag). Now add Celine Dion singing on the bow non-stop for the duration of everything above. Words cannot describe the pain.
