3. Deliverance (1972)

Canoe down the river they said. See nature in its untouched beauty they said. All that the four guys in Deliverance wanted to do was see the mighty Cahulawassee River before the river valley got flooded by a new dam. A little getaway to the North Georgia wilderness, far away from their 9-to-5 office jobs in the city. Now I like to get away from the city every now and then. Get reconnected to nature and all that. I have to admit that being raped at gunpoint by a pair of hillbillies isn’t really my cup of tea though. Talk about a shit holiday.
