1) Baby Catapult
In China this week a pregnant woman named Wang Zhau, and father to be Mao were rushing to the hospital on a motorbike. The baby was on the way and the time had come to get to the medical facility.
Tragically en route, a lorry smashed into the bike carrying the pregnant lady and expectant father. The lorry actually ran over the woman’s baby bump and both were tragically killed in the smash. This is where the story becomes miraculous: the unborn baby was incredibly and rapidly born on impact and thrown to safety.
Some reports say that the baby was pretty much fired from his mother’s birth canal and covered a few metres before skidding to a halt. I suppose in an accident you would tighten all of your muscles tighter than they’ve ever been and then after death relax them all more than they’ve ever relaxed. The little tyke, Xiao Zhao, is a bit bashed up but is expected to recover fully.
The story has been all over the news in China and the orphan baby has already received cheques from well wishers across the country. Isn’t that a mad story?
