What’s worse than finding a dead shrew in your bag of Kettle Chips?: Finding a dead shrew in your Kettle Chips after you’ve already eaten half of them. That’s what happened to Jon and Elinor Hughes of Conwy Valley, North Wales this week.
Kettle Chips basically pooped their pants when they were told about the incident and sent a courier to collect the offending article straight away. That’s some pretty bad press, although to be honest I would still bang down a bag right now if you handed me one.
The couple were planning on putting the remainder of the crisps in their young son’s lunch box for school, so the youth had a pretty lucky escape. A spokesperson for the brand said that the shrew did not enter the bag at their factory or during distribution. But they would say that wouldn’t they.
