4) Slightly Late
Susan Heifetz, from New York received a special delivery this week. Not special because it was brilliant but because it was rubbish.
She got a couple of birthday cards and a letter from her boyfriend in Vietnam, nothing strange there. The weird thing is that they were posted about 45 years ago.
I’d like to lay into Royal Mail here, but I can’t blame them for the US of A’s terrible service (and to be quite honest Royal Mail seems to do a pretty good job to me? Just sayin’).
What made the whole thing stranger still was the fact that the letters all arrived a few days apart?
Susan said: “It’s unbelievable. I always knew that my parents watch over my family – this validates it.” I don’t want to be a negative ninny here, but the only thing this episode validates is that your postal service is a complete joke.
