5. Jelluzz
The Asian rapper gained a following after his ‘Channel U’ debut ‘Happy Mealz’, on a catchy oriental beat. The actual song was littered with humorous references and comments upon the nature of dead-end, minimum wage work in Britain and whilst it may be remembered primarily for the comedic chorus about chicken outlets Nandos and Dixie Chicken, the song actually provided an insight into the struggles of an underclass of youngsters trying to support themselves and live well without resorting to crime. After a few fairly anonymous follow-up pieces to his initial success Jelluzz slipped under the radar, with just an SBTV appearance to his name within the last two years, but at the time this song was a banger and perhaps with more stuff like this he would have made a more significant mark.
