Former leader of the EDL and restyled free speech advocate Tommy Robinson is having perhaps the worst few weeks of his life.

At the end of last month he was arrested and jailed for 13 months for contempt of court after he mindlessly showed up at Leeds Crown Court and started live-streaming footage of participants in a criminal trial (after being warned not to, having done the same thing in Canterbury previously).
Robinson’s supporters claim he had every right to turn up and film outside court, but the fact is he could have completely jeopardised proceedings to the point that the whole case could have collapsed, which could benefit the ‘child grooming gangs’ he wants to expose in the first place.

Anyway, things have now gone from bad to worse for Robinson. The UK Home Office has decided to move him overnight from HMP Hull (relatively safe) to a more dangerous prison in the East Midlands (which has yet to be named).
This is bad news for Tommy as 1 in 5 prisoners at this jail are Muslim, and the specific wing that he is being kept in is in fact 71% Muslim. Of course given Robinson’s history, Muslims in particular don’t like him very much.
Some people don’t see the big deal about this:

Others are not happy:
The U.K government are genuinely trying to get Tommy Robinson murdered in prison.

Caolon Robertson, Tommy’s manager, says he was told upon arrival that the wing was full of people who “didn’t like him”. He says that people were banging on cell doors all night shouting death threats and that an Imam has “put out a hit” on Robinson.
Robertson says that everyone around Tommy who knows this information is “terrified” of what may happen to him and are worried he won’t make it to the end of his 13 month sentence. He believes that the mass protests in London demanding that Tommy be freed has lead the establishment to want to “get rid of him”. Tommy is “the most worried and nervous” Robertson has ever seen him.

We’ll see how this develops. In the meantime, here’s a video of the time Robinson clashed with Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
